The first National park in the world. Situated on top of a Super Volcano, Yellowstone provides many geo-thermal features to admire, Old Faithful probably being the most famous. We were lucky to visit this wilderness in early october 2009. It's difficult to single out places to visit as all the areas have something special. For wildlife, the Lamar and Hayden valleys should be visited Mammoth Hot springs, Porcelain Basin and the Old Failtful areas provide many of the volcanic features. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a must.
